This is a brand new church and is still under construction. They were going to pour the cement floors after we left. The building is the same pattern as the one at Jungo with room for an orphanage in the back.

God moved bringing deliverance to many. We saw a number of healings as well. Over 100 people were anointed and prayed over to receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. It was a powerful time in the Lord Jesus! Praise Him!

I preached at the Jungo Foursquare Church in a village outside of Kampala. They have an orphanage attached to the church with 22 children but capacity for 50. God moved in healing, deliverance and impartation. Thank You Jesus!

Blessings Flowing in Malawi

Hi, Friends, God has been moving all this week in Malawi. (As if He doesn't at other times!) We've seen salvations, deliverances and healings. God anointed many with with power to heal and many were touched by God.

Today we visited the village and took enough clothes for about 100 children. Thank you Rose and friends for the dresses and shorts! We also purchased some nice used clothing. I will have a video of the time together when I return thanks to Pastor Davis.

Headed to Malawi and Uganda

Hi, All, Well Mozambique came and went. I didn't even get a chance to post pictures! Hope to do better on this trip! I'm heading to Malawi tomorrow. I will minister with Pastor Davis Galero at the Blantyre Foursquare Church for about a week. Then I head to Uganda. I will be ministering for two weeks with Pastor John Kamaniz at Kampala Foursquare Church and in another church in Mbale. When we return to Kampala, I will minister with Pastors Sam Kakete of Christ Global Embassy. I will return on the 25th.

Heading to Mozambique

Kigumba conference

We had a wonderful conference in Kigumba, which is about 3-4 hours north of Kampala. I taught the same things as in Pabo village. Several people got saved, a few healed and one baptized in the Holy Spirit. The young men have unusual instruments that they have made themselves. The sound is between a ukulele and a harp - very pleasant sound.

On the way home to Kampala, we stopped at CGE Associate Pastor Steven's home village. They had some very unusual demonic activity. We prayed over their house and blessed them. We took bread and hot milk with them. Then his aunt asked to receive the Lord - see photo of woman kneeling and being prayed over by Pastor Sam Kakete.

Last night we went to see Pastor John Kamanzi's church which he is building near Kampala. We had a nice dinner with his family. He invited us to have a conference in Kampala next year. He is the head of Foursquare Uganda - standing to right of church building in process.

Gulu and Pabo village

We moved on to Gulu on Wednesday. It rained heavily during the night. The road north to the Foursquare church is a bumpy dirt road, so it was a little slick from the rain and the potholes were filled but we were happy the dust was low.

These villages had experienced so much violence and destruction for years. It is now peaceful and becoming productive again.

I taught 2 sessions and Pastor Sam Kakete preached a good message on evangelism. The response for prayer at the end of the day was great. A number of pastors and leaders received healing and deliverance. Words of encouragement and prayers for blessing were also released. Love the presence and move of the Holy Spirit.

We believe we were able to touch at least 25 churches through the pastors and leaders at the conference.

We concluded our time at Christ Global Embassy with a Women's meeting. We had a lively discussion for about 3 hours!

Greetings from Kampala, Uganda

God has been faithful to show up at our meetings at Christ Global Embassy. Sunday I preached on "The Goodness of God" and how to keep the devil from speaking lies to you about God. Monday night I preached on the "Names of God". We had ministry time afterward and prayed for a number of people.

Pastor David from Mbararra came to the meeting. He told us a man we had prayed for last year was healed of AIDs. Praise God!

Today we went to a pastor's fellowship meeting. I preached on Encouragement then ministered in the prophetic and released anointing into their lives. It was a powerful time in the Lord!

Hi, All,

I am home and well! Praise God! I was unable to use the Internet for the last leg of the trip. So here is the update. God moved in power and many people were saved, healed and delivered.

The boy below is four years old. He had a severe fever and was unable to walk for several years. He received prayer from a number of team members over 4 days of the conference. He is now able to walk with assistance and his crossed eyes are now straight!

The photo below is from the 4 day pastor and leader's conference. God moved in power, releasing healing and impartation. Many fell under the power of the Holy Spirit and lives were changed forever!

The photo below is from one of the evening crusades held at a school ground. Hundreds of people responded to the call to receive Jesus. Notice the women clad in burkas! Many people were also healed.

News from India

God has been moving in the lives of the people of India. In one visit to a village, we saw 9 people receive Jesus - all of them from 2 other major religions. There were a number of healings as well. We went into their humble homes and they welcomed us. It was amazing to see them bow down and pray to the one true God. Many spoke of the peace they felt when we prayed for them and the presence decended.

I was able to preach a short sermon and move in words of knowledge and releasing the prophetic at a church of about 70. Half of the people were inside sitting on the floor and the other in the street under a shade on mats. Words of knowledge for healing were also released and God sovereignly touched them in healing.

Made it to India!

Hi, All,

Had a good series of flights and lots of short naps. India is beautiful. Bangalore has lots of trees and lots of honking horns and skinny dogs. After orientation, we went shopping yesterday waiting out our jet lag. Some areas are nice, some have lots of litter. Our hotel was changed at the last minute. This one is under renovation. Decent room and lukewarm water, what more can a missionary want?

Today we get to work. Heading to gold fields area and visiting in the villages. The widows made 2 outfits for me to wear. They consist of baggy pants, a loose tunic and a scarf for decoration.

Pastor Ravii and his American wife Julie are the ones organizing this trip! I met them at the Montoyas house several years ago. They had traveled and ministered with the Ron and Bonnie. We also know several other people in common. Small world!

Had the opportunity to plant some seeds with 2 Indian women on the flights here. Hope all is well at home.

Ground Breaking at Asamala Orphanage

Several hundred people attended the ground breaking ceremony for Asamala (God Cares) Orphanage in the village of Mizanje about 8 miles north of Blantyre, Malawi. The head chief, the headsman, a member of the Agriculture department and other important tribal leaders were also in attendance. The women greeted me with singing a song of welcome and traditional tribal dances.

We took a walk to see the irrigation farm where the widows have planted corn and greens. The government dug 2 wells for them. The donations I brought with me will be paying for a pump to help in irrigating the crops, more seeds and fertilizer, the rest of the lease payment and the creation of a logo for the orphanage.
Speeches were made, a cornerstone put in the ground and gifts of food (rice, salt, sugar, soap, snacks) were given to the poorest orphans. The giving of candy to the children almost caused a riot.

The next phase will include more seeds and fertilizer, buying animals (chickens, goats, pigs), 2 more pumps and shoes for the children. We also hope to start building a house for the widows and orphans.

Mbarara Sees Revival

God moved mightily in the Mbarara conference. We saw God heal many and bring many deliverance from witchcraft. The Holy Spirit flowed in the preaching. Pastor Sam and I both preached. Pastor Jane joined us in the prayer time. She was able to lead several young women to Christ!

Holy Spirit Moves in Power

The Holy Spirit released with great power in many of our meetings in Mbarara Community Church. We preached and released healing and healing anointing, prophetic words and anointing, and the call to preach the Gospel house to house. Many people were touched, healed, delivered and anointed. There are some amazing testimonies! Words of knowledge flowed in one meeting and many were shaking when the power of God touched them.

Rain is falling - He is Reigning

Hi from Mbarara. We just returned from 2 days in a village. The only night we are spending in a tent - loud thunder, lightning strikes and the Jesus Film shown in the heavy rain. Pastor Sam, Pastor David and I preached on different subjects and prayed for many. Today we also went to a school and I gave the Gospel message.

Tomorrow we start the conference at Mbarara Community Church. God has been moving in healings and deliverances. Praise and glory to God!

Holy Spirit falls in Kampala

As we continued our series on "Those Who are Called", the Holy Spirit continues to minister to the people. There was been refreshing and anointing and baptizing. Friday night the Holy Spirit came in power and many were prayed for to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. We've had opportunity to visit many village homes and pray for the sick and for God to meet the needs which are great. "Muzungu" - "white person" rings out from all the children as we walk through the dirt paths. Many are afraid but God breaks through and soon I don't have enough hands for the little ones that want to hold mine.

Tonight is women's night and tomorrow we will conclude with the call to discipleship. Monday we travel to Mbarara and tent living!

Revival at Christ Global Embassy

Tuesday night was wonderful. I finished preaching about Abraham. Many people came forward for prayer. Several people were healed from headaches and stomach problems, some received words of encouragement and one girl gave her heart to the Lord.

Wednesday night I preached on Elijah and Elisha and the blessing of Second Generation - the double portion. Many people left early but those who remained received the blessing of the outpouring of the prophetic anointing and words of encouragement.

I'm adjusting to the sights and sounds of the Kakete household. They feed me well! every morning Abundance greets us with a loud and happy "good morning"!

Greetings from Kampala, Uganda

The Lord is good! Miracles began at SFO when I was not charged for my third baggage and for too much weight! God said I would meet an important man on my journey. I met 5 members of the Ugandan Parliament. One very influential man has a daughter at Sanford and a son at UC Davis!

I preached Sunday morning about the Promise and the Role of the Holy Spirit. Pray as we seek tomorrow night for more people to receive the baptism. Last night was the first conference night - lively music and good attendance. I preached on the call of Abraham. This week is titled "Those Who are Called".

All is well physically except still trying to get in this time zone with sleep. Spiritual warfare beginning and met. Home visits yesterday were met with the Holy Spirit and prophetic release! Powerful!

Africa bound!

Hi, Dear Friends,

It has been a while since I updated this BLOG. The Lord has opened the door for an exciting opportunity. I will be traveling to Uganda and Malawi in just a few days.

By God's grace, I will be ministering with Pastor Sam and Jane in Kampala at Christ Global Embassy for a week of revival/healing meetings. Then they will travel with me to Mbarara to minister at a conference for Pastor David's church and out into one of the villages where they have a church.

Then I will travel to Blantyre, Malawi, for several days to hold a ground breaking ceremony for the orphanage.

I covet your prayers for the Lord's will to be done, for anointing and the move of the Holy Spirit, for safety and for wisdom in all I do and say. Father, have Your way in me!

Report from Uganda revival meetings

Greetings from Uganda! It was a busy week with 3 nights of revival meetings, 2 nights of marriage seminar meetings, baptisms, a Sunday service and a futbol match (soccer). We also managed 2 visits to the hospitals to pray for the expectant mothers and the sick. We even had an opportunity to pray a blessing over a newly born Muslim child! We saw God moving in an impartation prayer time on Sunday morning. We planned a pole in the ground to stake claim to the land for the Kingdom of God and Pastor Sam Kakete had a flag made for Christ Global Embassy. One old woman had her eyes healed. Her great desire was to be able to read the Bible again and now she can by the grace of God. Several people received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. We praise God for all He did and give Him all the glory!

Malawi village report 2

Dear Friends,

The Lord has continued to move in Malawi. Hundreds of people came to the Jesus film showing each night and many were saved. The people would run forward to receive the Jesus they saw on the screen. What a delight to see so many come to Jesus.

The follow up teaching time the next morning was powerful as well. One day the Holy Spirit showed up big time and interupted our plans. He had a healing service in mind. A number of people were healed. On another occassion a woman was healed from a painful shoulder injury. Praise God!

On to Kampala, Uganda, tomorrow. We will be having 3 nights of revival meetings, 2 nights of women's meetings and a Sunday service. I covet your prayers for the Holy Spirit to lead and guide me and to have His way in these meetings.

Malawi village outreach report 1

Hi, Dear Friends,

Your prayers are working! God is on the move. Hundreds of people watched the Jesus Film at each of the five villages we traveled to near Blantyre, Malawi. There were hundreds of decisions for Christ during the week. We also saw several people healed supernaturally and delivered from demons. All praise goes to God. I worked with the children's follow up, the medical clinic and some of the preaching about the Foursquare Gospel. We've had opportunities to pray for many people to receive healing. There is much sickness in the villages, both physical and spiritual.

I have been healthy and strong thanks to your prayers and God's protection. Please continue to pray for us as we battle the forces of darkness.

The people are great. They greet us with singing and dancing, smiles and handshakes. We have sleep under grass covered areas where the stars peak through. The weather has been cold here and threatening rain but so far we have been protected. Praise God for a warm sleeping bag and a cot to keep us off the ground. There are some gnarly insects and critters here but nothing has harmed us.

We head out on Saturday for a 4 night, 5 day journey to the south of Blantyre. Please continue your prayer vigil on our behalf.

Greetings from Malawi

Hi, Dear Friends,

Arrived on late Tuesday after 20+ hours on 4 flights. I was able to sleep quite a bit. We've had 2 days to rest and prepare. Tomorrow we head for the villages and will be gone 5 days. I will be helping with the medical clinic and praying for healing.

Our hotel is decent, the grounds are nice. Food is good. People are friendly and helpful. I saw the Blantrye Foursquare church (nice building) and school. The kids were very happy to greet us.

Please pray for our 3 teams as we all head out tomorrow. 10 of the people only arrived this morning. Pray for quick relief of jet lag and stamina for them and all of us.

Well, my bags are not completely packed but almost. This Sunday, July 6th, I head for Malawi for 3 weeks with Water Wells for Africa and then on to Uganda for a week of revival meetings. I will be back in the USA on August 5th, just in time for my nephew's wedding on the 8th.

Uganda - final report

Hi, All,

I am home safely and still reflecting on God's goodness to us. He allowed us to move with Holy Spirit in powerful ways and to see miracles and healings using our hands and before our eyes. The final days at Kampala were spent loving on the children at the Uganda Jesus Village, an orphanage with about 60 children, a conference for 2 of the evenings and street outreaches during the day. Some of the men went into a prison and ministered.

The children are absolutely precious. They were excited to show us their beds and their clothing. They dance and sing with enthusiasm. A boy and a girl gave their testimonies of what happened to them in the northern part of Uganda. The boy had seen his father murdered before his eyes. Shortly after he returned home, his mother became ill and died. His brothers were unable to care for him and signed guardianship over to Fresh Fire. The girl was actually captured by the rebels and forced into slavery. She escaped, risking her life to get to freedom.

The meetings in the evening at The Streams of Life church were charged with Holy Spirit power. Many people were touched and blessed. The second night we did a fire tunnel and laid hands on hundreds of people. What a blessing. Todd Bentley, through a word of knowledge, released the gift of faith. It was powerful.

One day we went on street outreach with a truck loaded with PA system and Africian dancers. Many people were saved after a young deaf/mute boy received his hearing and began speaking. Yetiva and I prayed for a number of women. One woman had pain in her upper abdomen. As we prayed for healing, demons began to manifest. She had many demons cast out of her.

On this trip, we saw so many healings. Healings in the meetings, healings in the hotel lobby, healings in the hotel hallway, healings in the market place. God was moving in power and many souls were brought into the Kingdom. May the God of all Glory be exalted on high and forever praised for His love and mercy on us!

Uganda trip - second report

Hi, Friends,

The team members spread out on Sunday morning to different churches. Many who have never preached before did so and found they liked it! Yetiva and I went to a small church 15 minutes back in on dirt roads with big ruts in them. There were about 30 people, half of whom were precious children. The Holy Spirit showed up in power as we worshiped to the beat of a drum and they danced with enthusiasm. The surroundings were poor but the faith was rich and vibrant. I preached the message God had given me on receiving the favor of the Lord. One of the Scriptures from Lev 25 had been given to Pastor David earlier in the year. It really touched their hearts. Yetiva preached on the releasing of prosperity. After preaching, we prayed over the entire congregation. Many words of knowledge and prophetic words flowed.

At the crusade, the children from the Jesus Village sang a song "The Spirit of the Lord is Moving in Africa" and it is coming to pass. So many people were saved, healed, delivered. Todd Bentley did a mass salvation, deliverance and healing altar calls on the last night of the crusade. Hundreds of people responded to each call and were touched by God.

Today were are Queen Elizabeth Park. What a wonderful hotel resort. The food was great and they had chocolate! Many of us were in withdrawl! Today we went on a safari and saw elephants, various types of deer, buffalo and lions (close up). As we were viewing the lions, our bus got stuck in the mud. A second bus moved the lions away so some of the men could push the bus back out of the mud. A scary few moments insued as the lions began to circle our buses. Praise God for His protection.

We also went on a boat ride on Lake George. You don't want to fall in as the crocodiles have moved up the Nile River into this lake. We saw many hippos, water buffalo, birds and one small crocodile. They have an African Fish Eagle that is a magnificent black bird with a white head and breast. They sit perched at the top of trees and shine out with their beauty. A variety of stork is here that is about 3 feet tall and they walk around in an old man fashion. They also have small seagulls and peligans. At the hotel, Weaver Birds are everywhere. They like to steal your food off your plate if you are outside and not paying attention. They are small sparrow like birds with a bright yellow color. They weave their nests on the end of bushes with thorns. This protects their young from preditors. Around the hotel, we have seen worthogs (up close), a lone hippo feeding at night and sleeping by the side of hotel roadway, mongooses and lots of birds. The grounds are beautiful as well. Even thought they have a fenced in perimeter, they have had lions come into the complex. So they usually escort the guests to their rooms at night.

God has been good and has protected us from harm. The battle has been fierce at times as there is much witchcraft coming against us. We covet your prayers for good health and protection, for the word and power of the Lord to go forth as we complete our journey.

Tomorrow we head to Kampala and another set of meetings at the Jesus Village. Pray for God's will to be done in all we do, for rest and recovery as we do not have much sleep.

Uganda Trip with Fresh Fire Ministries

Greetings from Uganda! The glory of God is falling on the crusades in Mbarara. Last night several people got up off of their sickbeds or deathbeds and walked. They were shaking from the power of God but still able to take a few steps. The blind are seeing, the deaf are hearing, thousands of salvations have occurred. God is wonderful and faithful!!!

After praying for just a few seconds, a little boy received his hearing and began to speak for the first time in his life. The joy and surprise in those beautiful brown eyes were a sight to behold as he heard his first sounds! His sister (about 6 years old) had brought him to the crusade all on her own. Bless those little ones! I personally saw God heal several with tumors, a mute woman began speaking, pains of all kinds disappear at the precious name of Jesus. Two young men prayed with us to receive Christ. Another young man knelt on the wet ground raising his hands to God in surrender and received a powerful baptism in the Holy Spirit. I have never seen a person shake so hard, it is impossible in the natural.

One group went to 3 prisons in Mbarara. Over 1,000 souls gave their live to Jesus. The hunger in this city is incredible. They received us with a several mile parade where they carried tree branches (no palm branches available)!

We have been doing street outreaches and hospital, orphange and school visits. Everywhere we pray for salvation, for healing and for deliverance. Everywhere God is meeting us with favor and the release of the power of the Holy Spirit. God is awesome!!!! One Muslim woman was in her store and lying down because she was dying of AIDS. Her husband had already died of AIDS. We prayed for her. I felt impressed that she was on the edge of eternity and to press in with the Gospel message. Her English was not good but she agreed to pray and by the Spirit, I believe she entered into the Kingdom. I engaged in a discussion with one man who was very strongly opposed to our message. He said he couldn't believe in what he couldn't see. I asked if I could pray for him. As I took his hand, I prayed for God to reveal himself to the man. Pray in agreement!

The enemy is trying his best to thwart the work of God but the angelic presence is so much greater, they are outnumbered. Please continue to pray for protection, good health and the power of God to continue to overwhelm the opposition. Several of us have seen in the Spirit the arrival of a host of thousands on our behalf.

The rains have come down in the morning and abated in the afternoon. Perfect since the grounds would be very dusty without the rain to settle it. God has shown us favor on all sides. We even prayed over the hotel kitchen staff this morning at their request!

Please pray for me tomorrow as I will be preaching in a local church.

Shalom from Israel

Dear Friends, what a whirlwind tour and conference this has been! Today is our last day in Jerusalem. I have been taxed to my limit physically with the heat and the walking and climbing of lots of stairs but every moment was worth the effort. I've seen and I've walked where Jesus walked and ministered. I've received a deep appreciation for the hardships faced by the people of the Bible. I have a great appreciation for our troops serving in Iraq.

There has been a deep impact on me emotionally as well. Entering Jerusalem, the city where our Lord and Savior gave His life for ours was a powerful revelation, an experience of the heart. As I've listened to our Jewish guide and the Israeli speakers, I've gained a much better perspective on the political climate of the Middle East. The hatred runs deep and Israel stands alone against formidable foes. The history of battles and occupations is very long. They are very grateful for the USA and love the Evangelical Christians since we are strong supporters.

Preparing for Israel trip

On Monday, July 16, I head for LA via Horizon Airlines out of Santa Rosa Airport. I will spent the night in LA near the airport then catch a 7:50 flight to Dulles in WA DC area on the 17th. After a short layover, it's on to Vienna, then to Tel Aviv. I covet your prayers for this journey. Please pray for safety for all who are going to the Foursquare convention in Jerusalem. Pray for safety for our families and our churches. We have already experienced incredible attack against our health and other safety issues. But, God is faithful. He has healed and protected us! All praise to God our Father, His Son Jesus Christ and the blessed Holy Spirit.

Our ten days in China were very interesting. Jere and I visited our daughter and listened to her rattle off in Chinese to the cab drivers and sales clerks. She has become very Chinese in her thinking and bargains with the best of them. We visited SIAS University and the surrounding city and park.

We enjoyed seeing the historic sites in Beijing and walking on the Great Wall of China. The Summer Palace is a peaceful place located on a huge lake with many willow trees surrounding it. I enjoyed the architecture of the Temple of Heaven. The emperor believed there were 3 levels - earth depicted by clouds, the atmosphere depicted by a dragon and heaven depicted by a phoenix who could both swim and fly. They also had animal sacrifices - very close to Jewish beliefs. We had to visit Starbucks in the Forbidden City - the very old with the modern.

We had a good trip and expanded our horizons. The rides in taxi cabs where definite times of prayer. Watching the dance between the pedestrians (who do not have the right of way) and the vehicles was difficult at first. Extreme caution is needed when crossing the street. Didn't see anyone injured while we were there.

God's plans for you

Jeremiah 29:11-14 NIV

11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile."

This Scripture is a promise to the nation of Israel (Jewish people) but it is also a promise to us. God has plans to prosper you, to bless you, to give you a hope and a future. But there is a condition “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Ask God to help you come to the place where you are seeking Him with your whole heart. Daily turn your life over to Him.

A miracle in Sonoma, CA

I was at a home group meeting in Sonoma,CA, on the evening of March 17, 2006. The presence of the Lord was so strong in the room. It was awesome just to bask in His Presence. As I was worshiping, something strange happened. My feet began to hurt very badly and were cramping. At first I thought it might be from the enemy. Then the thought occurred to me that it could be a word of knowledge. Just about then, Mike Tate, the leader, looked over at me and mouthed "do you have something"? I walked over to him and told him what was going on. He released me to give the word. When I asked if anyone was experiencing extreme pain in their feet, a woman who had arthritis said, "Yes, it's me". After receiving prayer, the pain was gone, God had healed her. All praise and glory to God!

A down day

Hi, Dear Friends,

Today was a down day for some reason, none in particular. Just don't like house cleaning days, I guess.

Well, there is only one known, proven way to get rid of the blues - to praise God in the midst of whatever is giving you the spirit of heaviness. The oil of joy will come upon you and it will seem like a fine Spring day. There is no substitute for the presence of God. He fills our lives in a way only He can.

Spring has sprung in California

Hi, All,

Spring definitely has sprung in Northern California. The early fruit trees are blossoming. The tulip trees are magnificient. We are having an unusually warm week in the 70's F. Time to get out and weed the garden.

Weeding the garden always reminds me of our spiritual walk with God. Have you walked into your life and examined it for spiritual weeds lately? Your witness will be so much better if they are pulled out!

My first Blog and my first post. Ah, what shall I say?

The Lord is good and He is in control of our lives if we choose to let Him. Today is a good day to surrender all to the Lord and to receive Him as your Lord and Savior. Trust Him in all your ways and He will make your paths straight.
